Biography
Born a creative soul, Heiko is a 12 year veteran of digital media production and education. Heiko has augmented scope of teaching topics by becoming a nationally certified snowboard coach and Instructor. Underneath his numerous tattoos and toques Heiko is a passionate learner who is continuously cultivating his understanding of what makes great educational experiences. Heiko seeks to make every learning opportunity a memorable event that connects with his students and makes them think.
From November to March Heiko can be found on the hills and mountains of Alberta and British Columbia teaching and coaching the next generation of snowboarders as the lead coach for Riders on Board and Snow School Supervisor at Rabbit Hill in Edmonton. From April to November you will find him running the paths of the river valley in Edmonton training for upcoming marathons and in the classrooms of Nait, the Edmonton Public School Board and Guru Digital Arts College.
With passion, he passes along the stoke for living a full creative and active life to his friends, colleagues and students.
